Clinical Data Curator I (Remote, USA)
About The Position
The Clinical Data Curator I undertakes tasks as directed by the Supervisor of Clinical Data Curation. The role interprets information and curates disease-specific data from patient test requisition forms and accompanying medical records, then enters pertinent details into a database. Clinical information is handled for daily incoming cases across any specialty and may come from test requisition forms, attached medical records and pedigrees, or communications with ordering clinicians. The curator also maintains clinical data records as updated information is provided to Ambry and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, a related field, or equivalent healthcare- or laboratory-related work experience.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- General knowledge of computers and navigating databases.
- Self-motivated and team-oriented.
- Strong attention to detail.
Nice To Haves
- Interest in a genetic counseling career and/or previous laboratory experience.
- Previous experience with medical records abstraction, data entry, or data management.
Responsibilities
