About The Position

The Clinical Data Coordinator provides a wide range of support for the department by collecting data, conducting analyses, and collaborating with all team members on priorities identified by the department leadership. Using appropriate tools and internal/external databases, identifies and benchmarks relevant performance metrics and resolves data discrepancies. This role supports various departments including Neuroscience Administration, Infection Prevention/Women’s COE Administration/Nursing Education, Neurosciences Administration, Breast Care & Imaging Center, Laboratory, Sepsis Program, and Quality Management. The coordinator will function as a liaison, facilitate initiatives, provide metrics for quality improvement, support operational functions, ensure accurate scheduling and coding, manage systems, develop key indicators, support programs to improve patient outcomes and safety, and analyze project effectiveness.

  • Constructs and coordinates cross-functional teams to achieve departmental goals.
  • Provides baseline metrics and continual measurements for quality improvement initiatives through statistical analysis and interpretation of clinical and qualitative data.

  • Develops and maintains metric tracking solutions.
  • Supports operational functions, regulatory requirements, efficiency, and quality to improve patient outcomes.
  • Achieves definite goals within projected timelines set by regulatory and certifying bodies and data registries.
  • Ensures all exams are scheduled, coded, and charged correctly.
  • Reconciles systems such as MagView and Epic.
  • Maintains and manages the Charge Master.

  • Supports the Sepsis Program in operational functions, regulatory requirements, efficiency, and quality to improve sepsis patient outcomes.
  • Facilitates and contributes to service, clinical, and cost initiatives by constructing and coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve Value Index and program-specific goals.
  • Monitors ongoing analysis of project effectiveness, probes and identifies root causes of problems, provides practical solutions, and negotiates resolutions.
  • Supports the SURFS application in operational functions, regulatory requirements, efficiency, and quality to improve safety.
  • Provides support for any entity in the Hoag Enterprise who uses SURFS.
