About The Position

This position supports Clinical Data Registries, dashboard development and maintenance, and a variety of data-driven projects to enhance operational, clinical, and business performance. The Clinical Data Analyst performs activities related to the design, build, implementation, and support for the clinical based applications of the organization. They analyze clinical data to optimize workflow to ensure that documentation and reports are processed. They also train staff to use the systems and capture date correctly for future analysis.

Requirements

Clinical background preferred.
Urology experience preferred.
Familiarity with healthcare industry and terminology and/or experience working with healthcare data (e.g. scheduling, billing, clinical, research data).
Experience with SQL, Tableau, BI principles, data visualization, design, and delivery.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Customer-oriented with ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
Knowledge in healthcare systems operations such as EMR.
Skill in using computer programs and applications including Microsoft Office.
Willingness to learn technical side, will work closely with IT team to execute job functions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Clinical background preferred.
Urology experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree in a Healthcare or related field (Nursing, Medical Assisting, etc..) preferred.
2 years' Data Analysis experience preferred.
Clinical Urology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Data mine, interpret, understand, and summarize data.
Analyze qualitative and quantitative clinical, educational, administrative data from multiple sources, and synthesize results into meaningful reports and presentations.
Design and execute clinical data collection and reporting systems.
Monitor data usage in the databases to spot common trends and report them to the supervisor.
Capture and process clinical data, verification, filing, and information protection.
Supervise data management staff and analyze data identifying areas for improvement.
Supervise and train data technicians on the procedures and software used to ensure productivity and accuracy.
Utilize scripting and querying tools like Python, R or SQL, data visualization/BI tools, statistical methods, and data modeling to produce reports, data files, and dashboards.
Communicate with medical personnel to determine data analysis and classification requirements.
Perform regular quality control checks to improve productivity and efficiency.
Perform other position related duties as assigned.
