About The Position

We are currently seeking a Clinical Data Analyst to join our Admin-Neurosciences/Stroke team. This full time role will work a hybrid schedule on days. The QPID Clinical Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the clinical outcomes for mandated/publicly reported and other quality initiatives. This includes clinical data analysis, providing education about the measures, and quality committees’ support.

Requirements

  • One to two years’ experience and/or education in the healthcare field required
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data and create summary reports using statistical tools, charts and graphs
  • Knowledge of clinical quality data and outcomes
  • Strong computer skills including web-based applications, word processing, Excel spreadsheets, graphs, and PowerPoint required
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • One to two years’ experience with data collection and reporting methodology, medical record coding processes, and medical terminology preferred
  • Experience in healthcare quality preferred
  • Certification by the Healthcare Quality Certification Board (HQCB), a part of the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ), as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) strongly preferred within two years of hire
  • Degree as a Registered Nurse or equivalent education in the clinical field preferred
  • If the incumbent is a Registered Nurse, must have a current licensure by State of Minnesota Board of Nursing

Responsibilities

  • Maintains knowledge of mandated regulatory/publicly reported data requirements as specified by federal, state, payer and other agencies
  • Performs timely and accurate data retrieval from the medical record and data entry into internal and on-line databases
  • Validates externally reported data with internal source data
  • Compiles data from multiple sources to produce and distribute reports to support the quality improvement process
  • Participate in cross functional team efforts to evaluate clinical quality and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Generates/presents reports and creates appropriate Power Point presentations with an audience ranging from executive leadership to clinical department and staff
  • Educates clinical and management staff on quality measures and initiatives
  • Collaborates with clinical and management staff to identify and integrate evidence-based practice principles to ensure compliance with mandated/publicly reported requirements
  • Supports quality committees and work group in performance improvement efforts
