About The Position

The Clinical Data Analyst primary responsibility is to collect and submit reliable data to the designated data base including National Cardiovascular Data Registry, NY State Department of Health registry, Society for Thoracic Surgeons registry, etc. This is accomplished through high-quality clinical screening, data compilation, documentation and entry into the appropriate database of all eligible cases for the medical center. The Clinical Data Analyst also works closely with the members of the Division of Cardiology to identify opportunities for clinical quality improvement and other special projects as may be identified.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree Required
• PA or RN license and clinical experience involving direct patient care
• Clinical experience involving the direct care of patients as evidenced by an RN, NP or PA degree with prior practical experience.
• 3-5 years of experience working in an administrative setting involving organizational skills, independent decision making and interaction with multidisciplinary team members.
• Completion of training and thorough understanding of NCDR, New York Department of Health, and STS TAVR registries.
• Participation in ongoing training via continuing education modules, regular conference calls, and annual conferences as appropriate.
