UPMC University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a Full-Time Clinical Data Analyst Intermediate to help support Clinical Analytics. This is a hybrid position, requiring occasional travel to the office (ranging from once a week to once a month, subject to business needs). The department focuses on ambulatory analytics driven by the strategic initiatives of the organization, offering multi-disciplinary components, expansion opportunities, exposure to multiple analytics platforms, and leadership exposure. The role involves designing, analyzing, and presenting analytical solutions to multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, administrators, and organizational leaders. The goal is to support data-based decision-making to improve patient care, clinical outcomes, and operational throughput. Reporting specifications will be provided by the requesting audience and discussed in interdepartmental team meetings. Data sources include various clinical and administrative systems like Epic, Cerner, and Medipac. Final aggregation and presentation will be completed using software packages such as SQL Developer, Qlik, and Cognos. The analyst must ensure reporting logic is accurate and sound by comparing analytical output to source systems and through cross-validation with base reports under the direction of the Expert Clinical Data Analyst. The role requires the ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
