About The Position

WellPower envisions a community where every person’s mental health is fostered through strength, resilience and hope. We empower people to overcome barriers and achieve lasting well-being through collaborative behavioral health care and comprehensive support. The Solutions Center is a 24/7 crisis facility serving those in the community that come into contact with one of our community referral partners such as emergency rooms, first responders, and outpatient treatment teams. The clinical intern provides direct mental health clinical assessments and treatment to individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. The clinical intern works with others in a clinical team environment to help individuals move toward recovery and stabilization within our crisis stabilization clinic.

Requirements

  • In second year of MSW program, completed first internship and a diagnosis course.
  • Professional experience in the mental health field.

Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnostic mental health assessments as well as individual, couple, and/or group psychotherapy.
  • Develop treatment plans; monitor treatment progress and follow-up as clinically indicated.
  • Facilitate the individual's growth and development with an emphasis on strengths, culture, resiliency, and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to support the growth and development of those we serve.
  • Facilitate the coordination of services for individuals with supplemental needs in psychiatric, case management, and medical domains.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation consistent with WellPower standards.
  • Participate in team/department meetings, trainings, and supervisory sessions as required.
  • Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
