About The Position

If you have a passion for working in a creative environment with older adults,
then this Clinical Counseling position is for you! It is a part time position.
This position will be located at Altercare Newark South (AL) (17 Forry St.
Newark, OH 43055) and Altercare Newark North (151 Price Rd. Newark, OH 43055).

EncompassCare, a provider of post-acute therapy services, clinical counseling,
and ancillary nursing services, is seeking a compassionate and driven counselor
with an LPC, LPCC, LSW or LISW licensure to join our team.

Requirements

• Demonstrates solid therapeutic and evaluating skills, strong communication skills (both written and verbal), and positive problem-solving skills.
• Abides by the EncompassCare and/or professional code of ethics.
• Requires an active state license to practice as a social worker or professional counselor in Ohio.
• LPC, LPCC, LSW or LISW licensure

Nice To Haves

• Experience in providing counseling/therapy services to older adults preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts diagnostic assessments/updates, develops/revises/implements individualized treatment plans, and provides individual and/or group therapy to residents of nursing homes.
• Utilizes outcomes tools to monitor effectiveness of treatment.
• Consults and collaborates with other interdisciplinary staff as needed.
• Maintains active licensure to practice as a counselor or social worker.
