Our prevention, intervention and treatment programs spread the message that there is hope and that substance misuse and addiction are preventable and treatable. The Incumbent’s primary duty is the performance of work requiring advanced knowledge acquired through an advanced degree program; and requires the incumbent to consistently exercise discretion and judgment in applying their knowledge. Under general supervision of the VP of Clinical Services, provides screening, assessment, and referral for patients engaged in services at Lexington Medical Center’s Emergency Department, Inpatient Services, and emPATH clinic who may identify mental illness, substance use disorder, and/or co-occurring disorders. Acts in accordance with LRADAC and LMC policies and procedures. Provides support to patients engaged through Uplift Lexington and Lexington County Emergency Management Services. The selected applicant must pass the Lexington County Sherriff’s Department background check and be approved for ED access at Lexington Medical Center. This position is housed within the Medical Social Services Department at Lexington Medical Center.
