About The Position
Shoreline Behavioral Health Services is seeking a full-time clinical counselor to join their clinical team. The organization provides timely clinical interventions and treatment services to individuals struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders, with a dedication to compassionate and accessible care. The ideal candidate will be motivated by a passion to help individuals and families facing these challenges. This position is based in the outpatient clinic in Conway, SC, and requires availability to work five days a week (Monday-Friday), including some evening hours as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human service-related field
- Working toward licensure and/or master’s degree
- Willing to explore and learn cutting-edge treatment modalities
- Excellent documentation skills
- Excellent time-management skills
- Applicant must have availability to work evening hours as needed
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with adolescents and the family unit
- Experience leading group therapy
Responsibilities
- Provides individual and group counseling
- Completes biopsychosocial assessments during open access, as needed
- Provides crisis intervention services to call-in and walk-in clients, as needed
- Assists other clinical staff with staffing cases, placement decisions, and treatment methods/materials
- Able to learn and implement evidence-based treatment modalities
- Contributes effectively as a team member, participating in weekly team meetings, sharing ideas, and communicating with supervisors and other team members
- Maintains accurate records as required by OSUS, Medicaid and agency policy/procedures, as assigned
- Maintains current licensures and/or certification necessary for the position
- Maintains client charts according to quality standards regarding clinical content and timely entry as established by OSUS, Medicaid and agency policy/procedures
- Provides the required amount of direct service time each week
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
