About The Position

Greater Philadelphia Health Action (GPHA) is a non-profit healthcare organization founded in 1970, dedicated to providing compassionate and affordable healthcare services. GPHA has grown to be a leading provider of primary and behavioral healthcare in the Greater Philadelphia area. This role is within the Behavioral Healthcare Division and involves performing a wide variety of tasks for the lasting rehabilitation of patients in mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring programs. Responsibilities include individual counseling, group work, supporting ancillary activities, assisting in the development of mental health services, and providing direct services to patients in the GPHA/AL-ASSIST Behavioral Health Care Program.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Human Services field or related field.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in substance abuse or related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Psychology background.
  • One year counseling experience.
  • LPC, LMFT OR LCSW preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of tasks designed to effect the lasting rehabilitation of patients engaging in our mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring programs.
  • Individual counseling.
  • Group work.
  • Support of ancillary activities.
  • Assist in the development of mental health services.
  • Provide direct services to all patients admitted by the GPHA/AL-ASSIST Behavioral Health Care Program.
