About The Position

Greater Philadelphia Health Action (GPHA) is a non-profit healthcare organization founded in 1970, dedicated to providing compassionate and affordable healthcare services. GPHA has grown to be a leading provider of primary and behavioral healthcare in the Greater Philadelphia area. This role is within the Behavioral Healthcare Division and involves performing a wide variety of tasks for the lasting rehabilitation of patients in mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring programs. Responsibilities include individual counseling, group work, supporting ancillary activities, assisting in the development of mental health services, and providing direct services to patients in the GPHA/AL-ASSIST Behavioral Health Care Program.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Human Services field or related field.
Two (2) years’ experience in substance abuse or related field.

Nice To Haves

Psychology background.
One year counseling experience.
LPC, LMFT OR LCSW preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform a wide variety of tasks designed to effect the lasting rehabilitation of patients engaging in our mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring programs.
Individual counseling.
Group work.
Support of ancillary activities.
Assist in the development of mental health services.
Provide direct services to all patients admitted by the GPHA/AL-ASSIST Behavioral Health Care Program.
