About The Position

This job assists in the daily operations of the assigned clinic in collaboration with leadership. Plans and organizes all operational functions, including, purchasing, budgeting, ordering, and receiving of supplies. Maintains assigned database(s), generates reports, and provides individualized and direct patient care to assigned patients. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years’ experience in a clinical or medical office
  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
  • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule (e.g. 24/7, weekend, holiday, on call availability).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Clinic or center specific certification

Responsibilities

  • Performs clerical duties such as data entry and report production.
  • Identifies equipment problems properly and reports them in a timely manner.
  • Monitors and assures targeted performance levels are met or exceeded and adjusts when necessary.
  • Registers, obtains insurance authorizations, and generates pre-surgical letters for patients.
  • Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
  • Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
