About The Position

This position will provide clinical and/or administrative consultation on mental health service delivery; assist with program projects; complete program review of clinical case records; facilitate peer case consultation; and provide clinical back up to treatment staff. This position provides a variety of direct services based upon the department need. This may include services such as case management, on-call, intakes, crisis management and individual and/or group therapy. The CCBHC Clinical Coordinator will coordinate the day-to-day CCBHC program and assist the supervisor as needed. They will be a key participant in the planning and coordination of evidenced based practices and community collaboration efforts.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Human Services Field from an accredited school.
  • Licensure as a LMSW, LLP, LP OR LPC preferred.
  • Limited license applicants will be required to obtain a full professional license within 6 months.
  • Staff who are hired or transferred after 7.29.2025 are required to hold a SUD license.
  • Staff may comply with this requirement by applying for a MCBAP Plan within 60 days of hire/transfer, scheduling their test for SUD licensure or becoming fully licensed as an SUD provider.
  • Critical Thinking testing requirement.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Knowledge of Word Processing software.
  • Recommended typing speed of 40 wpm.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Chauffeurs license; if transporting individuals that receive services.
  • Fully licensed candidates/employees are preferred to have 2 years clinical experience post full licensure.
  • Fully licensed candidates/employees are required to have a minimum of 1 year experience in a CMH (direct or contract system) with an EMR system.
  • Limited Licenses are required to have a minimum 3 years of Clinical experience.
  • Candidates/Employee must also qualify as QMHP, QMRP or CMHP where appropriate for population being served.
  • For anyone working with children, they must receive 40 hours of Children’s training per calendar year and become a CAFAS rater.
  • A Minimum of one year of experience with examination, evaluation and treatment of SED/DD/Autism Children and families is required.
  • Must be employed for three months to reach Just Cause Status.

  • Supervised/assisted in an internship or licensure for another licensed professional.
  • Clinical Coordinator requirements listed may be waived for staff that qualifies as a BCBA or QBHP within the Autism Program.

Responsibilities

  • Review Clinical Forms for staff in the department. (BPS, IPOS, PR and Amendments).
  • Provide feedback to staff and e-sign completed documents.
  • Provide Clinical consultation to other staff in the department as directed by the supervisor or in their absence.
  • Provide individual, family and group therapy.
  • Develop materials for and provides group therapy rotation as needed.
  • Provide a minimum of four hours of intensive services for each family monthly for any Home Based Individuals.
  • Link, monitor, coordinate and advocate with community agencies to assist the individual in accessing basic needs like housing, medical appointments, employment, and other needs as they arise.
  • Participate in providing integrated health care with individuals receiving services through local PCP’s and/or MAT SUD clinics.
  • Participates in evidence based practices as assigned (TF-CBT, ACT/IDDT/FPE/etc).
  • Completes intake assessments and makes referrals for services and programs.
  • Gathers and Reviews information such as medical, psychological, and social history contributing to the individual’s situation.
  • Evaluates this information to determine the individual’s needs and capabilities towards the least restrictive environment and/or services.
  • Initiates and coordinates professional assessments according to the presenting problem and relevant standards, and is responsible for sharing and presenting assessment/treatment data as authorized and required for implementation and coordination with other agencies, courts and caretaker.
  • Maintain agency standards of compliance in the documentation, billing, and other requirements to obtain maximum reimbursement.
  • Completes the person-centered plan of service and periodic review of progress, assuring revision as needed, and assuring that the preferences of the individual served are reflected in the individual plan of treatment.
  • Makes direct/indirect contacts in accordance to the person-centered plan with the assigned individuals, and is responsible for assuring the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of the person-centered plan of service in residential, employment, school, and other settings.
  • Serves as the primary advocate for the individual, child and/or family and assures that they are linked with needed resources in the community.
  • Provides consultation, referral and in-services to staff, caretaker, families, and other agencies as needed to meet the specialized needs of individuals served.
  • Provide community outreach to individuals who have a history of hospital recidivism in order to be proactive in preventing crisis situations.
  • Participates in after hours on-call participation and crisis intervention during the workday.
  • Other duties as assigned.
