About The Position
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator will be responsible for positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting a high-quality patient experience. This role involves managing the day-to-day clinical operations and unit workflow/throughput. The coordinator may assume direct patient care if necessary and will be accountable for the outcomes of care for patients in a specific clinical care area(s). Additionally, the role includes guiding and directing a team of caregivers in providing high-quality, individualized care to the patient and family, while preparing them for discharge. The coordinator will also guide staff development by teaching, mentoring, and counseling both new and experienced staff, focusing on clinical and customer loyalty skills, and will take the lead on clinical performance management.
Requirements
- Current professional Nursing Licensure in the state of IL required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in appropriate clinical setting required
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree preferred
- Prior management experience preferred
