About The Position

The University of Tennessee Health Sciences is seeking candidates for the Clinical Coordinator position for the Pathologists’ Assistant (Patha) Program within the College of Health Professions, Department of Diagnostic and Health Sciences. This is a 12-month, full-time, non-tenure-track position, with the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor. The role involves managing clinical rotation sites, maintaining affiliation agreements, developing and implementing clinical rotation schedules, overseeing the clinical handbook, collecting student and liaison evaluations, and recruiting new clinical rotation sites. The faculty member will also be involved in teaching, scholarship, service/administration, the admissions process, and serving on the Progress and Promotion Committee for the PathA program.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field (implied by Assistant Professor rank)
  • Experience in clinical coordination or management
  • Familiarity with affiliation agreements and clinical handbooks
  • Experience with student and liaison evaluations
  • Ability to recruit and manage clinical sites
  • Willingness to participate in teaching, scholarship, and service/administration
  • Experience with admissions processes
  • Experience serving on committees

Nice To Haves

  • Experience specifically within a Pathologists' Assistant (PathA) program
