About The Position

The Recovery Resolutions Supervisor will support certified medical coders or recovery resolutions representatives that will provide coding and coding auditing services directly to providers. This includes the analysis and translation of medical and clinical diagnoses, procedures, injuries, or illnesses into designated numerical codes. You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with an active, unrestricted Puerto Rico license or an active Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
  • 2+ years of experience in a production environment within the healthcare industry
  • 1+ years of experience managing or supervising employees in a metrics and data driven environment
  • 1+ years of experience in a hospital/inpatient setting, surgical or clinic
  • Proven intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills: Microsoft Excel (ability to sort, sum, insert bar graphs and use formulas) , Microsoft Word (ability to create documents and complete mail merging), Microsoft Outlook (ability to manage email, calendar, and task lists), and Microsoft PowerPoint (ability to create presentations with images, words, charts / graphs and merging data from Microsoft Excel)
  • Bilingual Spanish/English
  • ENGLISH PROFICIENCY ASSESSMENT WILL BE REQUIRED AFTER APPLICATION

Responsibilities

  • Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges
  • Influences or provides input to forecasting and planning activities
  • Leverage pertinent data to identify and solve a range of problems
  • Examine, assess, and document business operations and procedures to ensure data integrity, data security, and process optimization
  • Leverage solid communication skills (verbal, non-verbal, and written) with a demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely with peers, superiors, subordinates, members, and providers
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of staff
  • Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion and performance goals are met
  • Provide coaching and constructive feedback to team members
  • Employee will be required to completed the Coding Academy
