Lovelace Medical Center is an acute care hospital with 263 licensed beds, providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, stroke care, radiology and oncology services.
Requirements
- BS or BA in Social Work or an associate's degree in nursing or a Diploma of Nursing.
- Associate's degree in nursing or higher
- Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire)
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of medical social worker or RN Case Manager experience.
- Master’s degree in social work or bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Certification in case management (ACM or CCM).
Responsibilities
- Assessing and coordinating patient care across the continuum, utilizing accepted criteria and guidelines to manage benefits and determine the medical necessity of the services provided.
- Achieving optimal clinical and quality outcomes by effectively managing care and resources to reduce unnecessary utilization.
