The Clinical Care Associate (CCA) Provides non-licensed, supplemental support to patient care teams by engaging appropriately with patients, assisting with basic comfort and diversional needs, supporting nutrition and hydration activities as directed, and completing routine unit support tasks (e.g., stocking supplies, transporting items, cleaning shared equipment). Promotes a safe environment by participating in safety rounds, promptly communicating concerns to clinical staff, and following applicable policies, procedures, and organizational values. The role of a CCA provides supplemental support in patient care performing tasks that require little to no specialized training. Provides direct patient support through interaction and diversional activities while assisting staff with day‑to‑day unit operations. Maintains stocked supplies, serves as a runner to other departments, supports meal delivery and hydration, cleans shared patient care equipment, assists with safety rounds, and promptly reports concerns to promote a safe, patient‑centered environment consistent with Baptist Health values.
