Clinical Care Associate, Renal Urology
About The Position
The Clinical Care Associate provides nursing assistance and patient care to support patients’ comfort, safety, and personal needs. The role assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures related to physical hygiene and comfort. The associate works within a unit-based, self-directed, multidisciplinary patient care team, sharing tasks with licensed and unlicensed team members. The position also performs general clerical and reception duties based on the needs of the patient unit or department, including preparing and maintaining patient charts, transcribing physician orders, and entering information into a computerized patient care system.
Requirements
- Hold one of the following credentials: Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry; Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA); Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT); or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
- Hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Have one year of patient care experience as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech, or in other relevant acute, direct patient care.
- Visual color acuity may be required depending on the role in specific units.
