About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for providing excellent patient care to join our team as a Clinical Care Assistant. This role involves greeting patients, taking vital signs, rooming patients, completing chart documentation, cleaning exam rooms and instruments, answering phones, and returning calls promptly. The position is located in Westerville (Cooper Road) within the Oral Pathology department. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, along with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office environment desired
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required
• Knowledge of practice management software, timekeeping software and EHR packages
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software required
• Adheres to all HIPAA privacy and security regulations and guidelines
• Must be aware of and comply with all OSHA standards and guidelines

Responsibilities

• Greet patients
• Take vitals as needed
• Room the patient
• Complete chart documentation
• Clean exam rooms
• Clean instruments/scopes
• Answer phones and return calls in a timely manner
• Appropriately document patient’s chief complaint in medical record
• Verify all test results are ready for the physician
• Clean instruments per protocol and maintain clean work area
• Assist in tracking medical and office supplies
• Distribute/Route faxes, test results, referral letters, etc. as necessary
• Manage EMR desktop and alerts/flags
• Assist physicians during procedures
• Prepare and date sterile kits per protocol
• Provide discharge instruction/education to patients
• Review handouts with patients
