PURPOSE OF POSITION Clinical Counseling & Behavioral Health Services Conduct structured mental health screenings, biopsychosocial assessments, and diagnostic evaluations using clinically validated tools. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with clinical best practices and patient goals. Provide individual counseling, group therapy, and other therapeutic interventions under clinical supervision. Maintain thorough, clinically compliant documentation in accordance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. Attend clinical supervision and participate in case consultation to support competency and skill development. Supportive Social Services & Resource Coordination Assist patients in identifying and accessing community resources addressing housing, food, transportation, financial stability, and behavioral health needs. Provide structured support in developing safety plans and stability plans as clinically indicated. Coordinate services with case management, community partners, and support agencies to promote continuity of care. Integrated Care Collaboration Collaborate with Marisol Health medical providers to support integrated behavioral and physical health services. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute clinical input to patient care planning. Provide behavioral health consultation to medical staff under supervision. Professional Development Engage in ongoing training, reflective practice, and supervision to support the development of clinical competency. Uphold all ethical guidelines, legal standards, and confidentiality laws governing clinical counseling interns.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills rooted in respect for human dignity.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based therapy modalities.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health regulations, clinical standards, and quality assurance practices.
  • Ability to respond effectively to crisis situations and provide compassionate care.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed and culturally competent care principles.
  • Proficiency in EHR systems and compliance documentation.
  • Enrollment in an accredited master’s program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or related field.
  • Approval from academic institutions to complete supervised clinical internship hours.
