As a Clinical Audiologist at our Twinsburg Family Health Center, you will help perform diagnostic audiological test procedures to evaluate our pediatric patients’ hearing status, auditory pathway function and communicative function and maintains records for all services. A caregiver in this position works days, from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Requirements

  • Doctorate in Audiology (AuD)
  • Eligible for an Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board license to practice audiology
  • Hold Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board license to practice audiology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence Audiology (CCC-A) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) within new hire period and maintain CCCs throughout employment

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and report test results to facilitate medical diagnosis to provide counseling and education about hearing loss, hearing aids and communication to patients and their families.
  • Perform electroacoustic analysis of hearing aids.
  • Perform hearing aid checks and minor repairs of hearing aids.
  • Provide direct and indirect supervision of student externs, clinical fellows, fourth-year Au.D students and otolaryngology residents, as requested.
  • Assist with planning, budget, service or project development, fee setting, purchase of new equipment or materials.
  • Perform daily and monthly equipment checks and biological calibrations.
  • Assist with electroacoustic calibration of equipment, as needed.
