About The Position

UT Southwestern (UTSW) Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Audio Visual Support Specialist I with excellent customer service skills and experience with various audio visual equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for patient education technology support spanning many patient rooms and event/conference spaces in multiple buildings on the UTSW campus and remote teaching and learning. You will be engaged in providing technical support with video conferences, live streaming, live audiovisual events, and ensure presenters are informed of the in-room technology. You will ensure presentation equipment is ready prior to the start of events/presentations, to include providing support for issues prior and during presentations. This position is 100%25 on campus and may require on-call support during off-hours and/or holidays.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3 years of customer facing work experience or basic Audio-Visual basic troubleshooting experience

Nice To Haves

• 1 year working with Video Conferencing Meeting Support (Teams, Zoom).

Responsibilities

• Patient education concerning technology provided for health education, video conferencing, entertainment, and technology needs.
• Troubleshooting and replacing hardware systems due to failure of technology within patient rooms at CUH and Zale, including replacing any equipment associated with patient room AV equipment, including televisions, cameras, pillow speakers, and more.
• Conference room support for faculty and staff meetings, including training, troubleshooting, and hardware replacement.
• Online conference support for faculty and staff via conference rooms and desktop workstations.
• Patient room hardware refresh.
• On-call support during off-hours and/or holidays.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
