About The Position

Our client is seeking a hands-on A/V Specialist to support, optimize, and standardize conferencing experiences across its office environment. This role will focus on Zoom Rooms, conference room technology, and network-aligned A/V infrastructure to improve usability, reliability, and overall meeting experience. This is a highly visible, on-site role requiring strong troubleshooting skills, professionalism, and the ability to operate effectively in live meeting environments.

Requirements

  • 3–6+ years of experience supporting A/V or conferencing environments
  • Hands-on experience with Zoom Rooms (required) and familiarity with Microsoft Teams
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in live meeting environments
  • Experience with conference room hardware (cameras, microphones, controllers, soundbars, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., VLANs, connectivity troubleshooting)
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Strong onsite presence and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a corporate or life sciences environment
  • Familiarity with Cisco Meraki environments
  • Experience supporting executive meetings or high-visibility environments
  • Exposure to ITSM tools and knowledge base development
  • Experience standardizing A/V environments across multiple rooms

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support for conference room A/V systems, including Zoom Rooms, cameras, microphones, speakers, and controllers
  • Troubleshoot live meeting issues quickly and calmly under pressure
  • Support both Zoom and Microsoft Teams environments where applicable
  • Ensure consistent and reliable meeting experiences across all rooms
  • Evaluate current conference room setups and recommend improvements (camera placement, audio quality, room design, etc.)
  • Identify inconsistencies across rooms (e.g., Zoom vs. Teams usage, setup variations) and drive standardization
  • Improve usability for different meeting types (e.g., boardroom vs. town hall formats)
  • Optimize noise suppression, microphone pickup, and overall audio clarity
  • Partner with IT/network teams to support A/V infrastructure (including Meraki environments)
  • Understand and work within VLAN and network segmentation considerations (e.g., segregating conference rooms onto dedicated networks)
  • Assist in diagnosing connectivity and performance issues impacting conferencing
  • Provide high-touch, “white glove” support for executive and critical meetings
  • Be present and proactive in supporting users, including joining meetings early to ensure readiness
  • Build relationships with onsite stakeholders and act as a trusted A/V resource
  • Create and maintain documentation for conference room setups, standards, and troubleshooting guides
  • Establish work standards for A/V support and room configurations
  • Maintain device inventory, labeling, and lifecycle management (refresh schedules, updates, etc.)
  • Contribute to ITSM knowledge base (e.g., service management documentation for recurring issues and resolutions)
  • Provide recommendations on how to improve conferencing experiences across the organization
  • Evaluate current tools, configurations, and vendor setups; identify gaps and opportunities
  • Bring structured, scalable ideas—not just reactive fixes
