About The Position

The Department of Health Services Research, Management and Policy (HSRMP) at the University of Florida invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty member at the rank of Clinical Associate Professor. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month position, expected to start no later than Spring of 2027. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of teaching excellence, professional engagement, and successful grantsmanship. Responsibilities will primarily focus on teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in healthcare management, public health, and related disciplines. Candidates should demonstrate excellence in instruction, including online teaching, student mentorship, and curriculum development. This position also offers opportunities to contribute to the growth of the Master of Health Administration (MHA) and Master of Public Health (MPH) programs. The ideal candidate should also demonstrate ongoing scholarly and professional engagement through contributions to manuscripts and publications, externally funded projects, and established relationships with healthcare and public health organizations at the local, state, and national levels. As a department within the College of Public Health and Health Professions and a part of UF Health, HSRMP offers opportunities for collaboration across the department, college, university, and health system. The candidate will contribute to the department's education, research, and service missions through partnerships with health system leaders and providers, student mentorship, participation in departmental and college committees, and engagement with professional organizations.

Requirements

  • Candidates for this rank shall hold the highest degree appropriate to their field or possess professional qualifications above those equivalent to the highest degree relevant to their field.
  • Expected to have produced creative work, professional writing, or research and successful teaching or professional experience.
  • A distinguished record of achievement beyond the assistant professor level.
  • A doctoral degree in health services research, health administration, health management, health economics, health policy, public health, or a related field.
