About The Position

The Department of Radiology at Tulane University School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Clinical Associate Professor. This position involves interpreting a broad range of diagnostic imaging studies, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and participating in departmental call coverage. The role requires adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards, as well as maintaining accurate clinical documentation.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency program.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology through the American Board of Radiology.

Nice To Haves

  • Fellowship training in a radiology subspecialty preferred, but not required depending on departmental needs.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret a broad range of diagnostic imaging studies including: Radiography (X-ray), Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, Nuclear Medicine/PET-CT (as applicable based on subspecialty training).
  • Provide timely, accurate, and clinically relevant radiologic interpretations.
  • Collaborate with referring physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary care teams regarding imaging findings and treatment planning.
  • Participate in departmental call coverage and after-hours clinical responsibilities as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate clinical documentation and reporting standards within the electronic medical record and imaging systems.
