About The Position

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the College of Medicine at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida seeks candidates for the position of Clinical Associate Professor. Clinical responsibilities include caring for patients with reproductive endocrinology and infertility needs, in vitro fertilization, and reproductive surgery. The Division of Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of Florida is the only academic REI Practice for a very large geographic area with a reach that extends from Central Florida across state lines. The division and department offer comprehensive care for patients with reproductive endocrinology and infertility needs, including reproductive disorder management, in vitro fertilization, ultrasound, diagnostic hysteroscopy and operative hysteroscopy, fertility preservation, and reproductive surgery. The Division has experienced outstanding growth across an expanding geographic area. There is an opportunity for protected research time with growing departmental infrastructure to support this mission. There is a special opportunity to collaborate with the University of Florida’s groundbreaking Artificial Intelligence Initiative. Teaching responsibilities include an active role in the training of medical students and residents including participation in the formal curriculum.

Requirements

  • 4-year ACGME accredited obstetrics and gynecology residency program, and an ACGME accredited Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellowship.
  • Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
  • Licensure by the State of Florida Medical Board will be required prior to commencement of employment.

  • Prior leadership experience in a Reproductive Endocrinology Division.

Responsibilities

  • Providing teaching instruction and supervision to residents and medical students in all aspects of reproductive medicine and assisted reproductive procedures
  • Providing lectures to residents and medical students as requested
  • Attending Department Grand Rounds, and Division meetings and other Departmental activities
  • Participating in mentorship of medical student and residents for research and career development is also encouraged.
  • Caring for patients with reproductive endocrinology and infertility needs, in vitro fertilization, and reproductive surgery.
  • Providing comprehensive care for patients with reproductive endocrinology and infertility needs, including reproductive disorder management, in vitro fertilization, ultrasound, diagnostic hysteroscopy and operative hysteroscopy, fertility preservation, and reproductive surgery.
  • Providing male infertility services in collaboration with a Fellowship trained male infertility specialist from the UF Department of Urology and with our andrology services.
  • Service to the University in areas of patient care, teaching, and research, and committee work appropriate to their professional training and capabilities and their career goals.
