About The Position

The Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) Faculty Member/Director will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of a new WHNP Certificate program. This position is responsible for ensuring the program meets CCNE accreditation standards, aligns with NONPF competencies, and prepares graduates for NCC-WHNP national certification. This position is not eligible for new visa sponsorship at this time. Candidates who already hold valid U.S. work authorization may be considered.

Requirements

Doctorate in nursing or other related field.
Current, unencumbered U.S. RN and APRN licenses, with current Idaho RN and APRN licensure or eligibility for licensure in Idaho.
Current national board certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC) through the National Certification Corporation (NCC).
At least two (2) years of clinical practice as a WHNP.
Graduate-level teaching experience.
Knowledge of APRN education standards, competencies, certification requirements, and nursing accreditation expectations.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with faculty, clinical partners, and academic leadership.

Demonstrated experience in graduate nursing curriculum development, revision, or evaluation.
Experience developing or launching an APRN program, track, or certificate.
Experience with CCNE accreditation and/or substantive change processes.
Experience developing clinical education requirements, preceptor partnerships, and student evaluation processes.
Experience teaching at the doctoral level and chairing or mentoring DNP projects.
Experience with quality improvement/project design and basic statistical analysis.
Record of scholarship and/or funded grants.
Dual WHNP/FNP certification.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement the WHNP curriculum, including courses, syllabi, learning outcomes, and clinical experiences focused on women’s health across the lifespan.
Teach graduate nursing courses, chair DNP projects, and develop or lead in-person intensives as assigned.
Ensure compliance with CCNE accreditation standards, state regulatory requirements, and national certification expectations.
Develop and maintain clinical partnerships, preceptor relationships, clinical evaluation processes, and appropriate student clinical experiences.
Provide high-quality instruction and mentorship in online, hybrid, clinical, and in-person settings.
Recruit, mentor, and evaluate adjunct clinical faculty.
Collaborate with graduate nursing leadership on program operations, budget, and resource needs.
Participate in service and scholarship consistent with University expectations.
