Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Comfortable with computers, technology, and Microsoft 365.
  • Interest in the medical field and/or have a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
  • Ability to connect with others and quickly build trust.
  • Organizational, collaborative, and autonomous skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of EMR systems is an asset.
  • Experience in the health care field is considered an asset (ex: optometry assistant, orderly, dental assistant, pharmacy lab technician, sterilization assistant, animal health technician assistant, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Assist during the pre-op exams and fill the patient’s charts accurately.
  • Answer patient’s questions and ensure the best service.
  • Work closely with Optometrists.
  • Conduct pre-operative and post-operative tests for patients.
  • Update the appointment system after every patient's consultation.
  • Confirm by phone post-operative appointments.
