About The Position

The University of Kansas Medical Center is seeking Clinical Assistant Professors for their Hospitalist service. This role involves providing medical care on 24x7 inpatient services, with patient care provided in shifts that may include day, swing, and/or night shifts. The position includes interaction with house staff in a supervisory and triage role, with full sub-specialty support and a closed ICU. The role also requires participation in educational and administrative conferences as directed by the immediate supervisor, including subcommittees relevant to the area of practice or education. Other duties may be assigned by the Division Director and/or Department Chair.

Requirements

  • MD, DO or foreign degree equivalent.
  • Completion of an Internal Medicine residency program.
  • Board Certified/Board eligible in Internal Medicine.
  • Hold or be eligible for a Kansas medical license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical care on 24x7 inpatient services.
  • Patient care is provided in shifts that may include day, swing and/or night shifts.
  • Interaction with house staff in a supervisory and triage role.
  • Participate in educational and administrative conferences as directed by immediate supervisor including participation on subcommittees relevant to area of practice or education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Division Director and/or Department Chair.
