About The Position

The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program in the School of Health Professions at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor (12MO). The successful candidate will serve as a full-time faculty member providing classroom and lab instruction in assigned courses as part of the CAAHEP curriculum. They will also assess student learning and skills, provide academic advisement, and offer mentorship of senior projects. Participation in clinical site supervision, student recruitment, and college service is also expected. The candidate must maintain ARDMS credentials and clinical practice experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited U.S. College/University.
  • Graduate from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
  • Prior clinical work experience.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Computer literacy and strong organizational skills.
  • Or an acceptable equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree.
  • RDCS, RDMS, RVT certifications.
