About The Position

The Ithaca College School of Health Sciences & Human Performance is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor and Graduate Chair for its online modality in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology. This is a non-tenure eligible, three-year renewable 12-month appointment, with the possibility of being fully remote. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering the fully online master's degree distance modality, which serves approximately 150 part-time students annually. Key administrative duties include coordinating with the online program manager (OPM), managing the admissions process, hiring faculty, creating staffing plans, and addressing student concerns. The role also involves teaching courses in areas of expertise, advising students, and participating in departmental, school, and college service. The position offers reassigned time for scholarly activity. Requirements

  • Ph.D. or Ed.D. in communication disorders or speech-language pathology or related field (ABD considered, but degree must be earned by start date).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Experience in online teaching and commitment to online education.
  • Excellent time management and organizational ability.
  • Strong communication skills.

  • Prior experience in academic teaching in a postsecondary setting, especially online.

  • Experience in supporting students with a range of lived experiences.
  • Scholarly record.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards for master’s programs in SLP.
