About The Position

The Clinical Assistant Professor of Behavioral Sciences position will be in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.  This position is actively involved in teaching medical students and residents, as well as providing outpatient psychological services through the OSU Physicians Clinic system.  Appropriate effort and activity in clinical research and service will also be necessary as well as a clinical record of sufficient depth to qualify for faculty appointment at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor.  The position will work with existing Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences faculty.

Requirements

• Ph.D./Psy.D in Clinical, School, or Counseling Psychology (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
• Active license in the State of Oklahoma as a health services Psychologist.
• Requires a devoted interest in education.
• Requires strong analytical skills, advanced multi-tasking skills, advanced problem solving skills, and the ability to effectively plan.
• Computer skills are needed to operate electronic medical records.
• Good communication and leadership skills are a positive.
• Interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with faculty, students, clients and providers.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer teaching experience, especially with medical trainees.
