About The Position

The Department of Management and Human Resources (MHR) within Fisher College of Business, at The Ohio State University, invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor position specializing in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources. This will be a full-time appointment, to begin Autumn semester 2026. All courses are taught in person on the University’s main campus in Columbus, Ohio. The College Fisher College of Business has a rich research tradition and engages through the college and the Graduate School in programs at the undergraduate, master and doctoral levels. The nationally ranked Fisher College of Business is one of 15 colleges within the university, with approximately 9,000 undergraduate and 1,200 graduate students. Department Information Organizations are finding that they must compete in an increasingly fast-paced, competitive, and international environment. In the Department of Management and Human Resources, the faculty are interested in exploring the ways in which organizations become competitive by understanding the dynamics of the international environment, the problems of growth, and the complexity associated with managing individuals. These interests are manifest in basic research, teaching in our various degree programs, executive education seminars, and in faculty consulting. Requirements

  • Minimum requirements for the position are a terminal degree (PhD, DBA, or equivalent) in a business or related field (near-completed PhD students are welcome to apply).
  • Demonstrated potential for generating impactful scholarly output within the domain of organizational behavior and/or human resources that furthers the educational and/or the outreach missions of the college (e.g., through writings geared toward practitioners, management books, teaching cases, textbooks, classroom simulations, other forms of innovative pedagogical materials).

Nice To Haves

  • Ideal candidates include significant practical business experience in human resource roles such as talent management, compensation and benefits, staffing, employee relations, etc.
  • An established record of excellence in knowledge dissemination within the domain of organizational behavior and/or human resources; a strong record of service and outreach with the business community; the ability to teach a variety of courses across both organizational behavior and/or human resources topic areas, and the potential to contribute to Executive Education programs and initiatives.
