About The Position
The University of Memphis, College of Health Sciences is seeking a full-time, non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor of Medical Assisting. This is a 12-month fiscal year appointment. The university offers an excellent benefits package, and the state of Tennessee has no state income tax. Memphis and the surrounding areas maintain a very low cost of living relative to most parts of the country. The anticipated start date of employment is August 3, 2026. The College of Health Sciences offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs, including B.S., M.S., and PhD degrees, as well as a Doctor of Physical Therapy program. The college serves approximately 1600 undergraduate and graduate majors. The University of Memphis is a Research 1 Institution with a diverse student population of approximately 20,000 students and 2,500 employees.
