About The Position
Stamford Hospital is seeking a Clinical Assistant-CNA to join our team! The CNA will serve as a first line of action by communicating with patients via two-way audio to prevent unsafe behaviors and conditions. This position creates a relationship with the patient to enhance care and communication, and to streamline that care process wherever possible. Utilizes the appropriate resources to plan and provide services that are safe, effective and financially responsible.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- BLS, Heart Saver or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Communicate with patients via two-way audio to prevent unsafe behaviors and conditions.
- Create a relationship with the patient to enhance care and communication.
- Streamline the care process wherever possible.
- Utilize appropriate resources to plan and provide services that are safe, effective and financially responsible.
- Provide patient care requiring mobility.
- Assist patients with transfer and ambulation, which may involve lifting, pushing and pulling patients.
- Conduct assessments requiring hearing within normal range.
- Endure prolonged periods of standing and walking.
