About The Position

The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery faculty member will serve in the Department of Diagnostic, Surgical, and Integrated Sciences. Core responsibilities will include didactic, pre-clinical, and clinical instruction and curriculum development in the oral and maxillofacial surgery discipline; mentoring pre-doctoral students; after-hours emergency call coverage (by rotation); participation in college, university, and community service; and and patient care in the Oral Health Center. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Interviews of qualified candidates will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

Requirements

  • D.D.S./D.M.D. degree, or international equivalent
  • Successfully completed the NBDE Parts I & II or the INBDE
  • Completed a CODA-accredited graduate program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery by the position start date
  • Board Certified, or eligible for Board Certification, as a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
  • Active Maine Board of Dental Practice licensure (full)
