About The Position

The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville (UFCOM) is seeking a qualified candidate for a Clinical Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor position on the non-tenure-accruing track. The department is particularly interested in recruiting anesthesiologists with a strong background in general anesthesia to support a broad range of clinical services across the health system. Candidates with additional subspecialty training are also welcome to apply. The department combines academic and private practice aspects, offering opportunities for resident education, scholarly activity, and clinical research at UF Health’s Main Campus, which provides exposure to advanced service lines. UF Health North Hospital operates under a community-based model. The goal is to create productive and enjoyable workdays. The team fosters a collegial, tight-knit environment where work-life balance is prioritized, with mutual respect and collaboration among physicians, CRNAs, CAAs, and residents. The primary practice location is negotiable.

Requirements

• MD/DO degree.
• Possess or be eligible for a Florida Medical License.
• Strong foundation in general anesthesia.
• Ability to work in a collegial, tight-knit environment.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with other healthcare services and staff.

Nice To Haves

• Additional training in Pediatric Anesthesia or Critical Care Medicine.
• BE/BC Anesthesia.
