Clinical Applications Consultant
About The Position
Contributes strategic vision and serves as the top-level technical contributor for health system services in the planning, design, development, implementation, functionality, and evaluation of integrated health system information technologies that support and enhance health system practice, administrative and management needs, and patient outcomes. Serves as a top-level health system applications consultant and resource with health system knowledge and computer expertise to coordinate and provide support for all new and current applications and software upgrades applicable to the health system. Consults on major initiatives and projects involving multiple departments, service lines, platforms, and various administrative interfaces regarding the integration of health system application technology with overall healthcare solutions. Responsible for the analysis, design, testing, and implementation of the most complex health system information systems and solutions. Acts as a subject matter expert on health system application strategies, procedures, policies, and methodologies. Provides direction and insight to leaders, peers, and team members regarding the identification and alignment of strategic health system requirements with evolving business and healthcare opportunities.
Requirements
- A college degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, Nursing, Pharmacy, or Allied Health
- six years of relevant experience in health system applications, information technology, and/or a healthcare setting
- Relevant experience may consist of a combination of health system operations and information technology responsibilities.
