This position provides excellent customer service as the first contact for patients, providers, and staff accessing ambulatory clinics. The role expedites the outpatient check-in and check-out processes by reviewing appointment status using an electronic appointment system to view information regarding appointments, insurance, and history. The representative will also collect pre-visit payments and communicate with the clinic liaison regarding factors impacting the patient visit and general clinic-patient flow. Additionally, the role secures the financial integrity of the patient's account by verifying benefits and obtaining referrals, authorizations, and pre-certifications. As part of the commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
