About The Position

This position is responsible for the provision of clinical shift coverage and monitoring of day-to-day responsibilities while ensuring the safety of residents. This position also includes some clinical responsibilities, where permitted through certification or license scope of practice, and other essential services required in the treatment program.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least six months of experience in human services.
  • Must possess a valid New York State Driver’s license and reliable automobile.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the site and residents and ensures safety of all residents during assigned hours.
  • Responds to all immediate social or housekeeping issues as they arise.
  • Provides breathalyzer and toxicology screening as needed.
  • Responds to crises and emergencies.
  • Completes data input into the agency database.
  • Attends and participates in all individual program and agency activities as required by supervisor.
  • Attends and participates in all job-related workshops and in-services trainings.
  • Responds in a professional and responsible manner to incidents involving contagious diseases (i.e., HIV, Hepatitis B, TB etc.).
  • Assists in the implementation of the agency’s policies and procedures.
  • Makes referrals, coordinates services and maintains regular ongoing consultations with other providers, managed care providers, legal agencies, etc. to assist counseling staff.
  • Assists with site medication policies and procedures.
  • Assists with the admission process and orientation of new residents as needed.
  • Assists with transportation as needed.
  • Facilitates the resident government’s program guidelines.
  • Provides resident education.
  • Is mindful of and integrates Trauma-Informed Care and its five principles in all duties and interactions with fellow staff, residents, and external partners.
  • Maintains compliance with all required rules and regulations including Federal Confidentiality (42 CFR, Part 2), HIPAA, Medicaid and/or HUD, and any others.
  • Regular attendance at work location.

  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Carries out duties essential to the above stated responsibilities as assigned.
  • Maintains all clinical documentation, reporting, record keeping, treatment planning, screening, assessment, and discharge planning.
  • Provides group and individual treatment interventions.
