The Clinical Administrative Coordinator supports getting authorizations and referrals, PAF/MVP patients, direct impact on admits, readmits, and supports the clinicians in providing timely patient care. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM- 5 PM Location: Onsite - 7242 W Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32818

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 2+ years of customer service experience (face to face and on the phone)
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS office (Words, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc)
  • Able to prioritize and manage time

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with referrals and prior authorization
  • Experience working within the healthcare Industry and with healthcare insurance
  • Experience working in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting
  • A clerical or administrative support background
  • Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes

Responsibilities

  • Managing administrative intake of members
  • Work with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services from members and/or providers
  • Process incoming and outgoing referrals, and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census roles
  • Assist the clinical staff with setting up documents/triage cases for Clinical Coverage Review
  • Handle resolution/inquiries from members and/or providers
  • Other duties as assigned
