About The Position

DaVita is seeking a Clinical Administrative Assistant who is also an experienced and certified Dialysis Technician to serve patients at our Detroit Road Dialysis clinic in Rocky River, OH. This is a dual role where shifts will range between 8 hours (AA) and 12 hours (PCT). The position may require floating to other clinics in the region. Candidates must have a flexible schedule and be available for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. DaVita offers clear paths for career advancement through its clinical ladder program.

Requirements

Must be experienced and certified as a Dialysis Technician
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be comfortable working around blood and needles
Must be comfortable mixing acid or bicarb
Flexibility and availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet
Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
Dialysis experience required including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT).

Responsibilities

Screen all people entering the clinic for COVID (questions and temp along with providing a mask)
Process admission requests and follow up with hospitals to assure we have all required documents to accept patients
Admit and discharge patients in computer system
Document appointments and follow up with offices to receive appointment notes
Order office supplies
Filing, good organizational skills, desire to learn DaVita specific systems quickly
Prioritize tasks throughout the day/week even when unexpected things happen
Clear and prompt communication with team, practitioners, and outside partners
Complete tasks in a timely manner
Build meaningful and long-term relationships with patients and their families in an intimate outpatient setting.
