About The Position

This field-based role serves as the strategic leader of their territory, responsible for improving patient outcomes and advancing the organization’s mission. The Clinical Account Executive (CAE) combines deep clinical expertise, strategic account planning, and business acumen to achieve Multiple Myeloma brand objectives and business goals. The CAE must build trusted partnerships with customers, think like a business owner, and collaborate within the oncology ecosystem to create long-term value. This includes responsible resource allocation, adherence to operating principles, and maintaining high ethical standards. The territory covers Atlanta, Macon, Albany, GA, and surrounding areas, and candidates should reside within a reasonable distance from the primary city.

Requirements

  • 5+ years sales experience in pharma/biotech.
  • Oncology/hematology experience required, preferably in Multiple Myeloma.
  • Desire and ability to take on larger roles faster than their peers.
  • Competitive selling skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a highly collaborative, team environment.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Persistency and grit with strong track record of succeeding in a challenging environment.
  • Driving a personal auto or company car or truck.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements.
  • Business travel, by air or car, is regularly required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Multiple Myeloma or hematologic malignancies.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Account Management experience in any industry.
  • Specialty Pharmacy experience.
  • Healthcare industry experience, especially working with patients or consulting healthcare companies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan aligned with brand strategy and local customer needs.
  • Build trusted relationships with hematologists, oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, and key account stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate deep scientific and clinical expertise while delivering compliant, customer-focused engagements.
  • Partner effectively with cross-functional colleagues to deliver coordinated customer experiences.
  • Continuously evaluate territory performance using data, customer insights, and business analytics to optimize execution.
  • Maintain the highest standards of integrity, compliance, and professionalism in every customer interaction.
  • Complete all AbbVie required training and maintain adherence to all company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
  • Continuously develop clinical, business, and leadership capabilities.
  • Meet healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements, which may include background checks, drug screens, and proof of immunization/vaccination.
