Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience working in a healthcare related facility.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and/or certification in related area.
  • Supervisory or lead experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and supervision of clinic staff, which may include business office, medical assisting and/or clinical staff of an outpatient medical clinic.
  • Coaches, motivates, staffs, evaluates, and trains employees.
  • Works closely with Clinic Manager, management team, physicians, staff, and patients assuring satisfaction and efficiency.
  • Serves as a resource for clinical staff and assists with patients as needed.
  • Ensures patient safety, quality care, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborates with the physicians to ensure the staff is meeting their expectations and customer satisfaction is achieved.
  • Addresses patient care or service complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provides adequate resources to ensure that the clinical staff have requisite clinical competencies to perform their jobs.
  • Maintains personal competencies for all specialties in assigned clinic.
  • Communicates changes and important information to staff.
  • Works efficiently with all departments to promote teamwork within the organization.
  • On a daily basis interacts with and supports staff and physicians and handles issues or requests as appropriate.
  • Attends meetings regularly or sends clinic representation to meeting, and participates on sub-committees as needed.
  • Meets staffing requirements as determined by the clinic management team, in a manner that effectively and efficiently meets the needs of the providers and patients.
  • Monitors staffing mix and allocation of resources in order to meet demand for services with available staff and recommends changes as appropriate.
  • Expected to regularly participate in patient care to meet the needs of the providers and patients.
  • Builds communication and teamwork by holding regularly scheduled staff meetings to communicate clinic and/or organizational information.
  • Delegates effectively to share responsibilities with others.
  • Remains knowledgeable concerning policies and procedures, and implements them in decision making.
  • Responsible for performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, staff training and development, promoting teamwork and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Maintains records of attendance and, time off requests.
  • Interviews prospective employees and communicates with Human Resources throughout the hiring process.
  • Works with Learning and Development to coordinate new hire training.
  • Coordinates on-site training for new and existing staff members.
  • Promotes the organization’s values as demonstrated through personal actions and conduct.
  • Participates with management team in developing and working towards individual clinic goals.
  • Assists Clinic Manager with implementation of clinic-specific customer service, human resource, and financial goals and objectives consistent with ARC’s strategic plan and goals.
  • Role models and communicates organizational goals and values for the staff.
  • Measures performance by using established standards and tools to evaluate clinic and operational performance of staff.
  • Assists Clinic Manager with development and/or implementation of clinic-specific policies, procedures, and programs and monitors adherence to system-wide policies/standardizations.
  • Evaluates performance and provides regular feedback to the staff.
  • Coordinates with the Clinic Manager and Human Resources to provide and document counseling or discipline, as appropriate.
  • Collaborates with Nursing Chairs and Operation Directors regarding matters involving clinical performance issues for licensed staff.
  • Collaborates with the Clinic Manager to participate in formulating the clinic's financial decisions, annual budget, and monitoring of expenses.
  • Anticipates and manages costs effectively and efficiently.
  • Promotes customer satisfaction through efficient processes and employee pride, contributing to overall organizational financial success.
  • Provides support to AHC holiday staffing by working a shift as manager as required by Company policy.
  • Assists with AHC holiday scheduling by discussing and coordinating with staff and communicating with AHC management.
  • Adheres to all company policies, including but not limited to, OSHA, HIPAA, compliance and Code of Conduct.
  • Regular and dependable attendance.
  • Follows the core competencies set forth by the Company, which are available for review on CMSweb.
  • Works holiday shift(s) as required by Company policy.
  • Involvement in organizational development through meeting attendance and committee involvement.
  • Attends ongoing organizational leadership training to improve leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Assumes responsibility for the Clinic operations in the absence of the Clinic Manager as designated.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
