The Clinic Staff Assistant I (CSA I) operates primarily at the front desk of the Las Colinas Clinic supporting all specialties in the Las Colinas clinic, engaging with patients and staff to support administrative and scheduling functions crucial to clinic operations. This role assists with patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, referral processing, and point-of-service collections while maintaining a high standard of patient confidentiality and excellent customer service. Key responsibilities include managing appointment scheduling, rescheduling lists, and confirmation calls to reduce no-shows and late cancellations. Addressing phone inquiries, documenting calls, and managing EPIC in-basket encounters ensures timely responses. Perform point-of-service collections and manage payment handling. Organize and welcome the front desk and waiting areas. Reschedule appointments promptly in case of clinic closures. The Clinical Staff Assistant I directly interacts with patients on the phone and/or face-to-face under direct supervision to: support medical front office business operations in an outpatient clinical setting and maintain a patient centered attitude at all times, demonstrating compassion and empathy for patients and their families.
