Requirements

  • High School Education or GED required.
  • CNA required at hire.
  • Medication Aide required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Capable of traveling between locations on short notice.
  • Must be able to pass background check.
  • Pre-employment physical and drug testing required.
  • Any job offer will be contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical with a drug screen, background check and obtaining active licensures per job requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Any experience as a Nurse Assistant preferred.
  • 1+ year customer service work in a health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Escort patients to and from examination rooms, providing assistance as needed and following safety protocols.
  • Confirm patient identity and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Measure and record height, weight, and blood pressure as trained, entering the data into the EMR.
  • Documents patient medication/allergy history into the EMR (active Medication Aide required).
  • Offer gowns or other appropriate attire for the examination.
  • Help patients get into the correct position for the examination, following safety protocols.
  • Apply knowledge and skills to meet the age-specific needs of the patient population.
  • Demonstrate initiative and flexibility as a team member to provide high-quality, efficient patient care.
  • Support and assist with the orientation of new personnel as assigned.
  • Uphold organizational goals, policies, procedures, and team decisions.
  • Respect patient rights and ensure confidentiality.
  • Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Communicate patient care issues appropriately and participate in their resolution.
  • Perform clerical and support tasks, including patient registration, to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Conduct cleaning and disinfection, including the use of sterilization equipment, and maintain accurate records to comply with federal and other external regulations by following departmental policies and procedures.
  • Handle sterilized items carefully to ensure sterility is maintained.
  • Stock designated supplies.
  • Comply with safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements such as OSHA and The Joint Commission.
  • Communicate effectively to solve problems in routine situations.
  • Exhibit patience, self-confidence, maturity, and compassion, always working as part of a team.
  • Responsible for all other duties as assigned, demonstrating competency.
