Requirements
- Current RN license issued by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners.
Nice To Haves
- 1 – 3 years of oncology experience
- Oncology Nurse Certification
Responsibilities
- Ensures collection of all information necessary for patient assessment at scheduled clinic visits.
- Conducts skilled nursing assessments that evaluate physical and emotional status of patients and coordinates appropriate care and follow-up.
- Assists physician with time management to provide timely quality care and follow-up.
- Provides clinical data to ensure proper authorizations are obtained to assure accurate scheduling, billing, and reimbursement.
- Educates patient and family on disease process and addresses their individual needs and concerns.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
