About The Position

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a highly organized and motivated Clinic RN to join our Community Cardiology Care team. This role supports multiple providers within the team, with a strong focus on phone support. We are looking for someone who is adaptable, collaborative, and ready to jump in to provide excellent service to our patients. Schedule: • Monday – Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm Option for hybrid schedule. Work from home 2 days a week. Requirements

  • Minimum of 16 years of age required.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service to physicians, patients and other internal/external customers is required.
  • Ability to work professionally with physicians, clinical staff and patients in an efficient, confidential manner required.
  • Demonstrated analytical, prioritization and organizational skills required.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and dedication to team environment required.
  • Effective communication skills required.
  • Associate's in nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills required.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility required.
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) department dependent required.

Nice To Haves

  • EPIC experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Word and Excel preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred.
  • Based on position, prior experience in patient nursing, specialty/primary care clinic and/or telephonics preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel preferred.
  • Proficient with use of email applications preferred.
  • Experience with EPIC or other electronic medical records preferred.
  • Specific to the Medical Call Center department; multi-state license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact via phone for clinical calls to include medication refills.
  • Evaluate patient symptoms and needs determining the urgency of their conditions, recommending appropriate care levels.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure patients receive timely and appropriate care, including emergency situations.
  • Maintain accurate healthcare records of patient interactions and follow-ups, ensuring continuity of care and compliance with health regulations.
  • Provides administrative support for documents (fmla, work comp, disability, etc).
