About The Position

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current is required if working in OR, Emergency Department or any Critical Care Unit
  • Unit-specific credentials may be required to be achieved within a specified time frame after hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

  • The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for prescribing, delegating and coordinating all nursing care to assigned patients.
  • Utilizes the nursing process and the Relationship Based Care Nursing Model in delivering nursing care.
  • Assumes an active role in delegation, critical thinking and shared decision-making.
  • Participates in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Communicates and collaborates with others to achieve desired patient care outcomes.
  • Provides patient and family education.
  • Provides leadership to other members of the patient care team.
